Responsibilities, Cancellations and Refund Policies

AWE Academy/Engineering for Kids Windsor & Chatham are excited to offer your child a summer camp hands-on learning experience in 2026!

The following policies are in place to maintain a safe and fair environment for all our campers and we encourage you to be familiar with them prior to registration. By registering for any of our programs, you agree to the following:

I will disclose all medical, allergy, and behavioural needs of my student(s) participating in the programs at the time of registration.
If my child receives 1:1 support at school (e.g. an EA), I understand that they must bring a qualified staff with them to camp. I understand that failure to comply with this may result in the dismissal from the program without refund.
I understand that the program runs Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. I agree that failure to pick up on time may result in additional fees of $10 per 15 mins, which I will be charged at the end of the week.
I understand that my student(s) is responsible for bringing their own lunch, snacks and water each day. I will do my best to pack nut-free items and understand that a completely nut free environment is not guaranteed.
I promise to come with a curious and open attitude. This includes agreeing to fully participate in the programming and giving my best effort.
I understand that it is expected that I display respect for all staff and other students at camp. Summer camp is about having fun while learning. I understand that the will be a zero tolerance for any behaviours deemed disrespectful and/or bullying. I understand that if I choose not to follow this guideline I may be removed from the program without refund.
I promise to leave tech devices/cell phones at home to avoid distractions during programming. If there is an emergency there will be access to a phone.
  • Our staff are not permitted to administer any medications, with the exception of:
  •           EpiPens – Severe allergies
  •           Glucagon – Severe diabetic emergencies
  •           Inhalers – Acute asthma attacks

All other medications must be  self-administered by the camper. If your child cannot self-administer, a parent/guardian must be available to return to camp to assist.
Refunds for our summer camp programs will be available up to July 14, 2026 with written requests made to: info@aweacademy.ca. Refunds will be subject to a 3.5% credit card processing fee and a $75 non-refundable administrative fee.

All registrations (regardless of time of purchase) are FINAL SALE after July 15th, 2026. Cancellation requests received on or after July 15th will be non-refundable and no credits will be available for future programming. This may include a dismissal from programming from a student who is not following the program rules.

In the rare event that AWE Academy or Engineering for Kids must cancel a program, a full refund will be issued. Reasons may include, but are not limited to low enrolment, staffing or supply issues etc.

We will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen articles brought to camp. Any of these items broght to camp will be at the parent and camper's own risk. Camp is also a time for your child to engage with other children and the exciting activities of the camp, so please leave any distractions at home
